As one of the other reviews already mentioned, there doesn’t seem to be anything to stop water getting behind the cover plate holes? Please help? Our Advice

The faceplate has been validated by the manufacturer and water going behind should not be an issue. They advised silicone can be used to add an additional layer of protection should you desire it.
