1200mm double vanity units give you two basins and plenty of storage in one unit. They’re a practical choice for family bathrooms and shared en-suites, especially when two people need to get ready at the same time.

The extra width gives each person their own basin space, while the drawers underneath keep toiletries and other bathroom essentials out of sight. You can choose a wall hung unit for a more open feel or a floor standing design for a more traditional look.

Bathroom Mountain offers 1200mm double vanity units in white, grey, navy, green, black, oak and walnut finishes. Options include Carrara marble and matt white stone tops, with chrome, matt black and brushed brass details to match your taps and fittings. What Is A 1200mm Double Vanity Unit?

A 1200mm double vanity unit is a 1200mm wide bathroom unit fitted with two basins side by side and drawer storage below. Both basins share the same worktop, and the pipework for each one sits hidden inside the cabinet.

Is 1200mm Wide Enough For Two Basins?

Yes, 1200mm is the narrowest width that comfortably takes two basins, giving each person around 600mm of space. If you want more elbow room between the two, a wider 1500mm unit suits better, but 1200mm works well in most family bathrooms.

Do 1200mm Double Vanity Units Come With Basins Included?

Many come with the double basin already fitted, which is the simplest option. Others are supplied with a Carrara marble or matt white stone top and no basin, letting you choose your own counter top or undermount basins to suit your taps.

Are Taps And Wastes Supplied With A 1200mm Double Vanity Unit?

Taps, wastes and bottle traps are usually bought separately. That lets you match them to your handles, whether that's chrome, matt black or brushed brass, and you'll need two of each for a double basin setup.

Should I Choose Wall Hung Or Floor Standing?

Wall hung units leave the floor clear underneath, which makes a bathroom feel more open and mopping easier, though the wall needs to carry the weight of the unit, two basins and everything stored inside. Floor standing units sit on a level floor and usually give a little more internal storage.

What Plumbing Does A Double Vanity Unit Need?

You'll need hot and cold supplies plus a waste connection for both basin positions, so replacing a single vanity usually means adding pipework. It's worth having your plumber check what's there before you order.
