PVC Wall Panels

What Are PVC Shower Panels?

PVC shower panels are large waterproof wall boards made from PVC, printed with marble, stone, concrete or metallic effect finishes. They fit onto shower walls as full sheets instead of individual tiles, which means no grout lines anywhere on the surface.

Are PVC Shower Panels Fully Waterproof?

Every PVC panel on this page is fully waterproof, which is why they're sold specifically for showers and other wet areas. The panels don't absorb water at all, so the only place that needs attention is the sealed joints at edges and corners.

Can I Fit PVC Shower Panels Over Existing Tiles?

In most cases yes, provided the existing tiles are flat, firmly stuck down and in decent condition, panels can be fixed straight over them using a suitable panel adhesive. If tiles are loose or uneven, it's worth removing them first so the panels sit flat.

Are PVC Shower Panels Cheaper Than Tiling A Shower?

PVC shower panels usually work out cheaper overall than tiling once you factor in labour, adhesive, grout and the time involved. A single panel covers a large area in one go, so a full shower wall takes hours rather than days.

Should I Choose Matt Or Gloss PVC Shower Panels?

Gloss PVC panels reflect more light, which helps a small or dark bathroom feel brighter, though they show water spots more readily. Matt panels give a softer, more natural stone look and hide marks better, so they suit a bigger bathroom.

How Many PVC Shower Panels Will I Need?

That depends on your wall area, so measure the height and width of each wall you're covering before ordering. Work out your total square metres, check the coverage on each panel, and add a little extra to allow for cutting around taps and shower valves.

Do PVC Shower Panels Hold Their Colour Over Time?

Good quality PVC shower panels are made to resist discolouration from steam, heat and cleaning products, so they hold their finish well. Use a damp cloth and mild cleaner rather than abrasives or bleach to keep the printed surface looking sharp.

How to Choose PVC Shower Panels for Your Bathroom?

To choose PVC shower panels for your bathroom, measure each wall you're covering first and work out how many panels you'll need. Then pick matt or gloss depending on how much light your bathroom gets, and choose a finish, marble, stone, concrete or metallic, that works with your existing taps and shower fittings.
