Aqualisa Showers - Fast Next Day Delivery

What Are Aqualisa Showers?

Aqualisa is a long-established British shower manufacturer, and the electric showers in this range heat cold mains water instantly as it passes through the unit, rather than drawing on your hot water tank. That gives you hot water on demand whenever you need it.

What kW Rating Should I Choose For An Aqualisa Shower?

kW rating determines how much water the shower can heat, which is what you feel as flow strength. An 8.5kW gives a gentler spray and costs least to run, 9.5kW is the middle ground most people pick, and 10.5kW gives the strongest flow, noticeably better in winter when incoming mains water is colder.

Are Aqualisa Showers Worth The Extra Money?

Aqualisa sits above budget brands on price, and what you're paying for is build quality, steadier temperature control, and a manufacturer with a proper UK service and spares network. In a family bathroom used several times a day, that reliability generally works out cheaper long term.

Do I Need An Electrician To Fit An Aqualisa Shower?

Yes. Electric showers run off a dedicated high-current circuit with its own isolating switch and RCD protection, so a qualified electrician is required under UK wiring regulations. A plumber is usually needed for the cold water feed too.

Can I Replace My Existing Shower With A Higher kW Aqualisa?

A higher kW shower draws more current, so your existing cable, fuse rating and consumer unit need to support it. If you're going from 8.5kW to 10.5kW, get an electrician to check the circuit before ordering so you know what's involved.

What's The Difference Between Mono And Duo Controls?

Mono means one dial controlling the shower, simple to use and cheaper to buy. Duo gives two separate controls, usually power and temperature, so you can fine-tune the spray. Both heat the water the same way, so it comes down to how much adjustment you want.

How Do I Keep An Aqualisa Shower Running Well?

Rub the rubber nozzles on the shower head every few weeks to clear limescale, since that's what keeps the spray even. In hard water areas, fitting an inline descaler at installation protects the heating element, and replacing the head every couple of years keeps performance up.

How to Choose Aqualisa Showers for Your Bathroom?

To choose Aqualisa showers for your bathroom, have an electrician confirm what kW rating your circuit can safely take first, since that narrows the options straight away. Then decide between mono or duo controls depending on how much adjustment you want, and pick a casing finish that suits your bathroom.
