Large Arched Mirrors

What Is A Large Arched Mirror?

A large arched mirror is a bathroom mirror with a curved top edge, sized to sit as a focal point above a basin or vanity rather than just filling the space. They come in plain and illuminated versions, in a range of frame finishes.

What Size Large Arched Mirror Should I Buy?

Measure your basin or vanity width first, then pick a mirror close to that width or slightly narrower so it sits in proportion. Also check you have enough clear wall above the basin and below any ceiling light or shelf.

Do Large Arched Mirrors Come With Lighting?

Many do, with options for backlighting behind the glass, front lighting around the edge, or both together for a softer overall glow. One model offers colour-changing RGB lighting, and plain non-illuminated versions are available if you'd rather skip the wiring.

Is A Large Arched Mirror Too Big For A Small Bathroom?

Not necessarily, since the extra glass reflects more light and can make a small bathroom feel more open. The thing to check is wall space, so measure the height and width above your basin properly before ordering.

Do I Need An Electrician To Fit A Large Arched Mirror?

Only for mains-wired models, which need a qualified electrician under UK bathroom wiring rules. Battery-powered LED mirrors and plain mirrors just need suitable wall fixings and a spirit level.

What Fixings Do I Need For A Large Arched Mirror?

Mounting hardware is usually supplied, but the fixings have to match your wall, standard plugs for masonry, cavity fixings for plasterboard, and a tile-rated drill bit if you're drilling through tiles. Because of the weight, make sure the fixings are rated to hold it securely.

Which Finish Suits A Traditional Bathroom?

Brushed brass and English gold suit period and traditional bathrooms, especially paired with cross-head taps and classic fittings. Matt black, black framed, chrome and brushed gunmetal work better in modern schemes.
