Bathroom storage ideas

Your bathroom is a place of cleanliness and relaxation – so the last thing you need is for it to be messy and cluttered. It’s the one space in your house that should be tidy and organised, to give you a great start to every day.

But there’s also a lot of stuff that you need in the bathroom, from bath and shower products to shaving kits and dental care – not to mention towels, toilet rolls and things you need for cleaning…

To keep on top of it all, there’s only one solution: bathroom storage. Here are six storage ideas to inspire you…

Mirrored cabinets

Every bathroom needs a mirror – so why not combine it with easy-reach storage? Mirrored cabinets come in all kinds of styles, many with built-in lighting to help you look your best. They’re a great place to store toothbrushes, shaving items and medicines as well as day to day cosmetics.

You can find a cabinet to match any style or budget, and there’s an additional storage area on the top – perfect for a plant to add a little slice of nature to your bathroom!

Vanity units

Vanity units are the perfect way to blend bathroom style with convenience. These days they come in a huge range. Wall hung units free up floor space below and give a sense of spaciousness while providing a great place to store all kinds of bits and pieces. A floor-standing unit will give you even more storage while hiding away the pipework for your sink.

Shelving

Make your walls do the work by adding shelves to empty areas. You can tile some shelves into your bath or shower space to put products in easy reach, or use a corner or wall shelving as a place to keep storage boxes or baskets. Below, our open storage unit helps to break up the twin cabinets and create a space to accessorise and utilise for everyday use.

Feature furniture

If you have space, bring in additional furniture to help declutter your bathroom. It’s increasingly popular to bring in non-bathroom furniture too, depending on your design theme. Try a vintage cabinet or industrial-style drawers to add a little edge to your look.

Floor Space

Make the best use of your floor space too – place a basket of towels under a wall hung sink or unit, or add a ladder shelf in an unused corner. A storage stool can be a useful place for cleaning items or towels, as well as a comfy seat when you want to chat with someone in the bath! Our towel rails are a great storage solution that looks stunning and keeps your towels toasty warm for when you’re finished in the shower.

Hang it all

If you have a shower rail, it can be a great spot to hang small storage baskets as well as shower gels and other products. For glass shower enclosures, invest in a soap dish with a suction cup, or adhesive hooks to keep your products out of the shower tray below.

Adding storage space in your bathroom needn’t be hard work or expensive, but you’ll be amazed how it transforms the room. Everything has its place so you can always find what you need, and cleaning is a breeze when you don’t need to move things around as you go. Give it a try – you won’t look back!
