You may think at the start of your new bathroom journey ‘Ah, I will just choose a shower enclosure’, before realising actually how many options there are. We’re here to help you choose the best shower enclosure shape for your bathroom… Here’s our pick of the best!
1 – Hinged Door with Panel for Square and Rectangular Spaces
Create a square or rectangular enclosure to suit your bathroom by using a Hinged Door with a Panel to enclose a recess or the end of a bathroom, Thanks to the number of size options available, there will be a combination to suit virtually any size room, creating a spacious and convenient showering space. This is our Helsinki 1400mm shower door, which is also available in 1000mm, 1100mm and 1200mm widths – generous enough to make a roomy showering space.

2 – Open Plan Wet Room with the Wet Room Panel + Return
For a minimalist look, a fully tiled wall and floor area can be enclosed with a panel that has a small ‘return’, which allows the spray to be slightly more enclosed. This is an elegant option, with that 250mm return adding a practical element of control over the spray. This option has the advantage of an ‘enclosure’ and still retains that open, wet-room style look. This is our Munich Brushed Brass Wet Room Shower Glass with Return Panels. Get the glam look throughout by teaming with matching towel rails and shower fittings…

3 – A Corner Quadrant
A corner shower enclosure is often a great way of optimising the floor space – perhaps to allow room for cabinetry, or a bath. This plan is quite easy to implement in a rectangular or square bathroom, allowing three walls to be used for optimum efficiency. An enclosed quadrant, such as our Hamburg Quadrant design is also a good choice for members of the family who are particularly ‘splashy’ with their showing habits, as the spray is completely enclosed! The Hamburg model is available in 800mm and 900mm sizes, with an Easy Fix door system which simplifies the whole installation process. And of course, Easy Clean glass for quick and shiny results!

4 – A Sliding Door Enclosure
Many bathroom designers may recommend or include a sliding shower door in their schemes – and a sliding design doesn’t restrict the interior showering area – it’s easy to step in and out – and there is also no intrusion outside the bathroom either. This means that a sliding model can be a good choice for smaller rooms where floor space is perhaps at a premium. Our Oslo Premium Sliding Shower Enclosure has an elegant look and also comes in Matt Black and can be paired with a White or Slate Grey shower tray.

5 – A Sliding Door in a Recess
If you are planning a bathroom from scratch, building a recess for the shower space is a good option – not only does it create that bespoke luxury look, but it also works as a solution to perhaps filling IP an awkward corner or can be a conversion of a cupboard or alcove. Tiles walls and floors keep it streamlined and a sliding door keeps it neat and simple. This is our Oslo Matt Black Sliding Shower Door – Sizes are 1000mm, 1200mm and 1400mm.

6 – A Fluted Single Panel for a Spacious Shower
Sometimes, the best shower enclosure shape isn’t really an ‘enclosure’, it’s a single panel. positioned to contain the spray but in a wet-room style, where the floor is fully tiled with a recessed drain. Depending on the space available, the shower room may be able to accommodate an 800mm, 1000mm or 1200mm panel. The overall look becomes simplified and a single glass panel is of course, very easy to keep clean and sparkling. This is our Munich Fluted Matt Black Framed Shower Glass panel.

7 – Inwards Opening Bi-Fold Door
A Bi-Fold door is another space-efficient option, the door folds inwards and slides across to allow more or less full-width access to the shower enclosure. It’s a great small-space option and with five widths available, it means that even a tiny bathroom can provide the pleasure of a full-on showering experience – our smallest door width is 700mm. But… if you have a larger space, the widths go up to 1000mm, so there’s definitely something for all layouts.

8 – Walk-in Enclosure With Separate Return Panel
This configuration is ideal for larger spaces, and the combination of a fixed return pane; and an extra panel allows the possibility of creating a walk-in shower with the added protection of an extra panel to ensure the spray is contained. It’s worth considering if any young children in the family need supervision at shower time, or if perhaps there is a family member who may need help at times with showering, the enclosure is spacious enough to allow assistance if required. Sizes range from 700mm and 700mm to 1200mm and 900mm as shown here…
