Vanity Ideas for Bigger Bathrooms

This time we’re bringing you some fantastic ideas for doubling up on vanity space in the bathroom. Double units are a brilliant solution for a busy family bathroom – giving everyone that little bit more space, and putting an end to jostling for elbow room when it’s toothbrush time for the children!

1 – Bermuda Vanity Unit with Oval Basins

Sit-on basins enhance a traditional look in the bathroom, especially when combined with painted timber cabinetry – echoing the style of old-fashioned wash stands and china basins of years gone by. Our Bermuda vanity cabinets have stylish Shaker-style proportions, and with neat legs, the floor is visible, creating a spacious look. The Marble Top has an upstand to protect the wall, and various styles of basins are available – these are Oval ceramic basins, styled with our Severn Chrome High Rise Basin Mixer Taps.

2 – Trent Gloss White Wall Hung Vanity Unit

For a sleek and space-saving upgrade, consider a wall mounted vanity unit — it creates the illusion of more floor space while offering smart, stylish storage for compact ensuites.

For a sleek white look that teams beautifully with marble-style tiles, consider the double Trent Gloss White Wall Hung Vanity Unit. Wall-hung designs provide stylish storage whilst still allowing a view of the floor – creating visual space. This 1200mm wide cabinet has a single drawer soft-close that has a U-shaped interior to accommodate the pipe-work inside, and a marble-style counter-top. All fully assembled, naturally (phew!). Taps are chosen separately, and the unit can be teamed with wall or surface-mounted taps. Oh, and for marble-style tiles, consider Carrara Matt White from Tile Mountain.

3 – Trent Stone Floor-Standing Double Vanity Unit

Another sleek double-unit look, this time it’s Trent in Stone Grey, as a floor-standing version with each half of the cabinet having vertical doors. This is a very neat look, and gives a little bit more storage space as the cabinet sits on the floor. The basins here are set into the surface, so that also gives a squared off, streamlined look. There’s something for everyone in the vanity cabinet range, whether you’re looking for a floor-standing or wall-hung! A full-width 1200mm mirror hung above also emphasises that neat and angular look. The mirror here is the Ellie Illuminated LED Mirror With Bluetooth Speaker 1200mm.

4 – Elba Midnight Green Double Wall Hung Vanity

Green is very on trend at the moment for both bathrooms and kitchens, so why not spruce up the bathroom with a bold block of colour. Our Elba Midnight Green wall hung cabinet looks super sophisticated, especially with the gold accent bar handles for the four drawers – which can be matched to gold finish taps and even gold-trimmed mirrors. This is a very modern combination of finishes and colour, bringing the bathroom right up to date. And if you don’t fancy being quite so glitzy, go for the Matt Black handles and taps instead!

5 – Bermuda: The Inside Story

If you’re considering a counter top vanity unit, we just thought it would be a nice idea to show you just how much storage space you’ll find within! There’s definitely enough space to store shampoo, bath products, loo-rolls, hand-towels and face cloths. And the top surface allow space for tumblers and toothbrushes. This Bermuda Dove Grey cabinet measures 1200mm wide, which is standard for a double vanity, you can see the other colour and basin options here. The depth from front-to-back of each Bermuda cabinet is 392mm.

6 – Elena Stainless Steel Mirror Cabinet

We’re firmly on the belief that a fabulous vanity needs an equally fabulous mirror, pair of mirrors or even a mirror cabinet to complete the transformation of the new bathroom. This is our Elena Stainless Steel Mirror Cabinet, which clearly does two things at once, as it’s a large mirror bringing the light space into the bathroom, but it has super-storage as well. It’s 1200mm wide, with three doors, each 398mm wide. The beauty of this design is it’s simplicity, meaning it will look good with all of our vanity cabinets!

7 – Bali Storm Grey Wall Hung Vanity

Perhaps you’re half-way between deciding on a single unit vanity or a double… if space is a consideration, why not meet things half-way? Our Bali Storm Grey Wall Hung Vanity unit is a single basin design that is 100mm wide. It’s a spacious shallow basin, with a generous surface space for everyday toiletries or your current reading material! The Bali comes in left or right-handed versions, so you can decide which side of the surface space is best used. We love the curves, and of course, the two very spacious and useful storage drawers beneath, too!
