Keep your bathroom or shower looking bright and summery with our top summer bathroom trends. Whether you’re doing a complete revamp or just updating one or two items, bring a new summer vibe to your home with these fresh ideas…
1 – Gold is the Colour
Gold, or rather, a Brushed Brass finish is a new favourite finish that immediately brings a warm summery glow to the new scheme. Brushed Brass finishes are definitely one of the trends that are here to stay, and all our fittings – from shower enclosures to screens and shower sets, taps and heated towel rails are available in this top trending finish. Let the gold colour stand out by pairing it with marble-style porcelain tiles and a black and white floor.

2 – The Smart Toilet Trend
Our collection of smart toilets means that the ordinary loo has been updated to provide bidet washing and drying facilities. There’s also a new tweak to the design meaning that we can also offer them in a slightly higher design, called “comfort height”. This is more comfortable for anyone who has mobility issues, perhaps with bending and sitting. This model, the Denver, has a rimless pan for easier cleaning, a soft-close seat and two bidet wash modes for personal hygiene, as well as an adjustable air dryer and water temperature levels. Oh, and it has a built-in night light too!

3 – A Fashionable Illuminated Mirror
Why have a plain mirror when you can have an illuminated mirror?! This Maya Black Framed Illuminated Mirror hits the spot for two trends in one – as an illuminated mirror and has a black frame, Black bathroom fittings are a huge trend, and add a very chic look to the smallest cloakroom as well as a larger showering space. This mirror has LED lighting, there are three sizes available, and the light has three settings, natural, warm and cool. It will need to be wired into the electrical circuit, and is IP44 rated for safe bathroom use.

4 – Black Framing + Fluted Glass
A slick shower panel with black framing and fluted glass ticks two popular trends in one. Fluted (or reeded) glass has been seen in contemporary kitchens and used for room-dividing panels over the last couple of years and it’s now hugely desirable in the bathroom as well. A single-panel design streamlines a bathroom layout, and these panels are available in three sizes; 800mm, 1000mm and 1200mm and are used with a support bar, which is adjustable between 700mm and 1000mm so there is plenty of opportunity to play around with the layout and design of a walk-in shower space.

5 – Wall Mounted Basin or Bath Taps
Wall-mounted taps add a luxurious spa-like feel to a bathroom, and angular, minimalist designs are very on-trend. Our Soar Brushed Brass Basin mixer tap is elegant and adds a very luxurious element to the bathroom. Of course, choosing the Brushed Brass finish makes it even more glamorous, although for a more restrained look, Soar is also available in Chrome and Matt Black. Remember, a regular buff and polished with a soft cloth will keep all new taps looking the best they possibly can.

6 – The Space Saving Trend
Making the most of any available space in the bathroom or cloakroom is always a prominent trend. For space-savers, many of our bathroom fittings and furniture come in a range of sizes to cater for all bathrooms, particularly where floor space is at a premium. Adding a ground-floor cloakroom to the home is possible even in the tiniest room if you consider using a toilet and basin combination, such as our Nevada 2-in-1 combination of a rimless toilet (for easy cleaning) with soft close seat and a mini hand wash basin positioned on the top surface of the cistern. Simply genius…

7 – The Sophisticated Storage Trend
Including wall storage is definitely a good idea – savvy choices can provide additional easy-access space to an existing bathroom or to a brand-new layout. This two-door, three-panel cabinet offers oodles of storage for everyday items like toothbrushes as well as plentiful internal shelf space for make-up and accessories. Illuminated mirror versions are also available, in several different widths. Good storage means that all the other bathroom fittings can stand out, rather than be surrounded by clutter!

8 – Pink + Green Should Always be Seen
Colours fall in and out of favour but some classic shades are constantly in favour. We’re currently seeing lots of black and navy teamed with gold, and dark grey and green are still very much in demand. Pale pink teams beautifully with these darker shades, adding definition and contrast. We love the summery feel of this combination of pink and green… our Elba Midnight Green wall-hung vanity is paired with a Dakota basin and glorious Metro Pink Wall Tiles from Tile Mountain.
