1. Take a rinse in the shower

An optional step, but a lot of people prefer to take a short rinse in the shower before they bathe (especially if they’re really dirty!), as to not mar the luxurious bathing experience.

2. Wipe down the bathtub

Before you run your relaxing bath, take note of the state of the tub to see if there is any soap residue or stray hairs left along the sides. If so, simply wipe these off with a clean cloth and spray for the perfect base for your bath.

3. Plug the drain and fill the tub

Once the tub has been cleaned and plugged, gradually fill it with nice, warm water. Be careful not to set the temperature too high, as hot water can scold or dry out the skin. Check the temperature with the back of your hand before you get in to make sure that it is not too hot.

4. Create a soothing environment

Try lighting candles around the bathroom for a warm and relaxing atmosphere – scented candles can add an extra touch of luxury as the aroma fills the room. Add oil, soap, or bath salts to the water to create a spa-like environment for a truly luxurious experience.
