Getting The Right Lighting

It’s incredibly important to ensure the lighting is perfect when you’re taking your image. We’d always suggest using natural lighting, rather than the artificial flash on your phone or camera. Natural lighting ensures our customers can see what the product looks like in a real life setting. Take the photo at an appropriate time of day, when it’s nice and bright and not miserable and dark outside.

Remove Any Clutter

When taking your photo ensure you clear away any clutter or unnecessary mess in the space that might look unappealing to another customer. This includes anything like tools or equipment you’ve been using to complete the space. We do, however, love to see your normal home comforts in the shot. Include any furniture or accessories you would normally have in the space to make it look lived in and natural.

Avoid Pictures of Yourself

When sending us your picture make sure you’re sending us a picture of the product and not yourself, as we cannot feature you or your face on our website. However, we love seeing your fury friends enjoying our products! If your pets are desperate to be in the shot and you’re happy for them to be featured on our site, be sure to send us a few snaps!

Done and Dusted

Please ensure when you’re taking your photo that your project is completely finished. Seeing the process of redoing your bathroom is always fun and exciting to us, but to get the full effect of the product we would love to see the finished result. Remove any leftover product from the area, ensuring its nice and tidy for your photoshoot.

Stay Focused

As you take your image, make sure you check whether or not your camera is in focus. If you’re taking the image on a smart phone, simply tap the area you’d like the camera to focus on and snap away. If your image is unfocused and blurry, we cant see a true reflection of how beautiful the product looks in your home. Please make sure you focus on the product you’re reviewing, capturing the whole thing, and not too much of the surroundings.
